Painted because it reminds me of my Dad. 65 years ago I used to watch him working on the lathe in his 'Man Cave' (we called it a shed then). In the thirties we were one of the few houses in London with a steam engine running up and down the back garden! After the war my Uncle, Jim Ewins, took up the baton of building steam trains, becoming renowned in the model engineering community. One of his models, St Olaves, which I inherited is on permanent exhibition at the Milestones Museum in Basingstoke.
